Liana Rushbrook has approximately 14 years’ experience in DEXA scanning and 16 years’ experience in osteoporosis, having entered these fields at the ages of 18 and 16 respectively. She brings extensive expertise in osteoporosis and bone density assessment, under the supervision of Dr Louise Dolan.

Dr Dolan is a leading osteoporosis specialist, consultant rheumatologist, former trustee of the Royal Osteoporosis Society and Clinical Fellow of the Society. Liana has also worked under the guidance of Dr Katie Moss, consultant rheumatologist and lead for the Osteoporosis and Metabolic Bone Disease service at St George’s Hospital.

Liana’s expertise includes DEXA body composition analysis, particularly in the fields of longevity and athletic performance.

She has attended lectures through the National Training Scheme for Bone Densitometry and maintains her knowledge of advances in DEXA techniques and best practice through ongoing professional learning.

Her career also encompasses quality control and quality assurance, supporting accurate, consistent and reliable DEXA measurements. She has contributed to clinical research involving DEXA and developed Good Clinical Practice training programmes to support the delivery of clinical research.

Liana also volunteers with the Royal Osteoporosis Society, regularly attending local support group meetings. She combines her technical expertise with a warm, patient-focused approach, helping each person feel comfortable, informed and supported throughout their scan.
